X Web Graphics FAQ

Q: Can I get the source files in .PSD format with each design?

Yes you can if you really need it. Just keep in mind that I do not use Photoshop for the majority of my designs, so the only PSD format files we can give you are exported to that format from the software we use. While this means that you get separate layers to play with, it also means that the text won't be editable - you'll need to replace it completely.

Q: Do I receive ownership of the graphics you design for me?

Yes.

Q: Do you create high resolution graphics for printing?

No. The software I use can only support a maximum resolution of 1800x1500 pixels, which is often too small for 300 dpi printing of most graphics. If I was better at using Photoshop it would have been a different matter, but I've yet to find the time or the patience to figure out how to use it properly. We specialize in web graphics and enjoy doing them, so we prefer to keep it that way for now.

Q: Do you create complete web sites or squeeze pages?

No. I only create graphics. The only HTML or web programming I do is installing your graphics on an HTML template so that it's ready for further editing.

Q: Do you create advertising layouts and brochures?

No. This is not something I consider myself an expert at and it only ends up taking a lot of time for a less than satisfying result. Your safest bet is to assume that I don't do anything that goes beyond pure web graphics and mini site template design.

Q: How fast is a rush order compared to a normal order?

A rush order guarantees delivery of a first draft (review copy) of your product within 24 hours - your order is bumped to the top of the queue and I start on it immediately. Often you can have a first draft in as little as 2 or 3 hours, depending on the nature of the project and the time of day you order at.

With a normal order, you are entered into a queue, so delivery time will depend on where you enter the queue. It can be anywhere from 24 hours during very rare low workload periods up to 5 days plus during heavy workload periods. Check the workload status above the order buttons on the sales page for an estimate.

I would advise you to plan ahead and not to order your graphics at the last minute. Order at least a week before you launch your product.

Q: I need more than one type of cover. What would this cost?

This is included in the deluxe mini site option, but if you only need the covers without the mini site, please email me for a quote.
